Sensei Pledge "I pledge myself to the challenges that a sensei must
meet and master. I will seek to create within me an atmosphere
of excellence that both instructs and inspires. Knowing that
success in teaching is not accomplished alone, I will also look to others for their help. By my determination I will demonstrate my faith in the power of positive actions. I will cultivate humbleness and openness, the qualities that make learning
possible, for only as I continue to learn will I be able to teach.
And with unity in the dojo as my goal, I will strive to attain
the oneness of my students and myself in body, mind, and spirit."

Senpai Pledge "I pledge myself to be worthy of the honor of senpai,
by setting a proper example for my fellow students to follow. Recognizing the value of working together, I will volunteer my time and skills to assist in helping others. Further, I will strive each day to strengthen my character, nourish my spirit, and extend my capabilities. Respecting the purpose
and principles of JIKC Karate, I resolve to uphold my new responsibilities
with humbleness and pride."
